Guerrilla VJ

Guerrilla VJ Unit is a collaboration project between the Finnish VJ group Xploitec and Catalanian artist Amoamiamo. The Guerrilla VJ Unit project consists of a car equipped to support video projections, thus allowing moving image interventions in places otherwise inaccessible and in forms that the movement provided by the vehicle only allows to generate. The experimentation ground of the Guerrilla VJ Unit is our surrounding landscape and urban spaces, endless projection surfaces. But more than just simply projection surfaces, they also constitute an essential part of the material of each intervention, by turns inspiring and serving, and in one way or another integrated into the conceptual logic and narrative structures of the projected works and images. The audience of the Guerrilla VJ Unit is mostly spontaneous and unexpectedly brought in contact with art in their everyday surroundings.
